Do not fill every minute. Moving to a toilet, opening lunch, and finding a lost hat take time. A schedule that ignores those jobs pressures staff to rush.
Have short activities ready for waiting periods. Use drawing, conversation cards, simple construction, or reading. Avoid relying on a phone video as the only gap filler.
