Science and Coding Camp Device Setup and Readiness
Give each device an ID and a tested setup with the approved tools. Check charging, accounts, accessibility, updates and reset steps before learners arrive. Keep a spare-device process so technical faults do not take over the lesson.
A fleet is a group of devices you manage together. Give every device an asset ID and a known setup.
Record model, condition, charger, operating system, approved software, storage, battery status, and test date. Keep spare chargers and cables that actually work with the devices.
Use suitable account permissions. Learners should not need unrestricted administrator access for ordinary lessons. Keep staff credentials separate and protected.
Test the full workflow: turn on, sign in if needed, open the tool, load a project, save, reopen, export, and shut down. A device that opens a browser has not passed the full test.
Prepare a reset process between users and sessions. Remove previous personal data through the approved method, verify it worked, and keep necessary records separately. Do not rely only on closing a tab.
Make fault reporting easy. A learner should be able to say “this key does not work” without being blamed automatically. Record damage through a fair, disclosed process.
Your task: Have someone other than the technical lead follow the setup sheet from a powered-off device to a finished export.
