Choose between camp-supplied devices, bring-your-own devices, or a clear mix. Each model has different costs and support work.
Camp-supplied devices give more control over setup and access. They need purchase or hire, secure storage, charging, maintenance, cleaning, and replacement. Keep a tested spare plan.
Bring-your-own can create differences in screen size, operating system, permissions, chargers, and performance. Families may not have administrator access or a suitable device. Publish exact requirements and offer a fair loan route where possible.
Do not ask families to buy expensive equipment before your technical lead has tested the full project. “Any laptop” is rarely a useful specification for a specialized setup.
For kits, list what is borrowed, what is consumed, and what goes home. A robot shown in the advertisement should not quietly become a shared item customers thought they were buying.
If you advertise one device per participant, budget enough usable devices plus spares. If learners share, say so clearly and explain the teaching purpose. Shared work should not be a hidden shortage.
Your task: Write the equipment promise in the same words on the sales page, invoice, and packing list.
