Chapter 30 of 30 · 1 min read

Outdoor Adventure Camp Launch Plan and Expansion Decisions

Confirm the audience, permissions, qualified leadership, routes, costs and support before launch. Rehearse decisions and communication, then check opening readiness. Grow only when evidence from the real program supports the next step.

First, choose the audience, activity, difficulty, and clear limits. Test demand and identify the actual barriers you solve.

Next, confirm land access, qualified leadership, route review, equipment, transport, emergency arrangements, insurance, and the budget. Do not sell a remote promise while these remain guesses.

Build participant information, support plans, weather decisions, communication, booking terms, and staff duties. Make the base team's role as clear as the field team's.

Rehearse the whole day with the actual gear and communication system. Use safe tabletop exercises for injury, separation, missed contact, and evacuation. Do not create real hazards as a test.

Make a written departure decision each day. Confirm the current conditions, group, staff, gear, route, and base contact. Pause when an essential part is missing.

After the first session, complete gear care, records, customer duties, and financial review. Expand only what can be delivered safely and consistently.

Your task: Ask a competent reviewer to identify where your plan still depends on luck.
