Before camp opens
Use this as a starting list. Your team and venue may need more checks.
- Choose your sport and age group
Choose one sport or a small mix. Name the skills you will teach, such as passing, balance or working with a teammate.
- Find a place to play
Check the playing surface, toilets, drinking water, shade and access. Ask which areas your booking includes and whether other groups will share them.
- Price your sports camp
List costs you pay even if fewer players book: venue hire, equipment, insurance and planning time.
- Find and prepare your coaches
Give each coach a clear role and group. Check the training, screening and supervision rules that apply to your sport, ages and location.
- Help players sign up
Describe the sport, starting level, daily hours and pickup place. Say which gear is included and what players bring.
- Build a day of practice and play
Begin with a welcome and a simple warm-up led by your coach. Show one skill, let players try it, then use it in a game.
