How does working backward from opening work?
In the fictional Silver Birch example, camp opens July 5, 2027. “Send reviewed pre-arrival information” uses an illustrative offset of 14 calendar days before opening, giving June 21, 2027. Moving opening to July 12 proposes June 28 for that task, while the supplier’s fixed March 15 deadline stays put. You review the differences before applying them.
What does “ready” mean?
Every required task and operational gate is resolved, and validation errors are cleared. Important and gate tasks require ownership. Gates require completion evidence, a role and completion date, or an explicit not-applicable reason with review. This is a planning result; it does not verify permits, insurance, hiring eligibility or safety.
Can I plan an adult, family or overnight camp?
Yes. Presets change the actual tasks: the ski plan includes resort, rental, instructor and travel work; family and overnight plans include accommodation, meals and household communications; multi-location plans add site accountability. Remove irrelevant tasks and add requirements from your own reviewed policies.
Will the app send reminders or publish my plan?
No. This free tool prepares a private draft and downloadable snapshots. Device saving is optional. JSON source can be imported here to continue editing; Excel keeps input and output sheets separate. There is no live team sync or calendar subscription.
