Replace every amount with a written local quote. Worked operating budgets leave out sales tax, income tax, borrowing costs, and recovery of startup spending unless named. Owner work is not free; pay or allow for it in your plan.
Read this first
This is a business and planning handbook. It is not a licence, legal opinion, medical plan, or technical training course. Ask qualified local people to review the parts they are responsible for. A small pilot needs approvals and safety controls too.
Your location, ages, hours, activities, buildings, food, transport, and sleeping arrangements can change the rules. Do not assume the word “camp,” a nonprofit name, or a signed waiver removes a duty. Confirm the actual program with the relevant offices before taking non-refundable commitments.
The writing is simple. The work still needs care. Short steps do not make a high-risk activity safe on their own. No sample age band, staff count, group size, or schedule in this book is a legal or safety standard.
Do not open with unresolved safety, staffing, approval, insurance, or cash problems. In an emergency, follow the approved plan and get urgent help. In Canada and the United States, the emergency number is normally 911; confirm local and remote-site arrangements. Do not delay urgent care to collect a signature.
